Joint exhibition between Sendai and BusinessOulu at the TOKYO GAME SHOW 2015
We organized a joint exhibition as Sendai/BusinessOulu (Finland) at the TOKYO GAME SHOW 2015, which was held at the Makuhari Messe on September 17th to 20th, 2015.
The TOKYO GAME SHOW is an exhibition of leading game companies, both nationally and internationally, which attracts many participants every year not only from Japan but also from abroad, including game companies, journalists, and general visitors.
The TOKYO GAME SHOW 2015 attracted 268,000 visitors across four days.
Sendai, which manages GLS, set up a joint booth exhibition aimed at visitors from Japan and abroad, as part of their partnership with Oulu, carrying out PR activities for GLS and other IT/game industry initiatives, as well as showcasing the works of game development companies in Sendai, the prize winning works of the 1st Sendai App Contest DA・TE・APPS! 2015, and more.
In addition, exhibitors from Oulu included lecturers and students from Oulu Game Lab, as well as game development companies from the Oulu region, who showcased their own works.
The TOKYO GAME SHOW had never until then witnessed a joint booth exhibition between a Japanese local government and an overseas organization. This collaboration attracted a great deal of attention as a unique initiative in this field.
